VISION
Our vision is to find and support as many youth as possible financially, physically or socially to be self-sufficient.
We also seek to make Jesus Christ known, believed, loved and served because if we provide the worldly needs of people and they lose their soul, our works are worthless.
MISSION
FEED MY LAMBS FOUNDATION was established to respond to the call of God to let His glory shine in Ghana through the transformation of lives of the needy in the community. It is from this 'calling' that the Foundation extends to individuals and organizations to help us:
-
Provide free apprenticeship training in the various aspects of vocational training.
-
Leadership Training and Evangelism
-
Support brilliant but needy children to graduate from school successfully.
-
Counsel the youth on the need to be productive and resourceful in the community.
OUR HISTORY
In 2004 the founder of this foundation had a desire to help the needy in the society so he teamed up with head porters to preach to them concerning the need to help the poor and the needy. They received the message and helped the founder to identify the needy and the helpless in Asankrangwa. He moved from house to house to assist people who were in dire need of help in terms of clothing, shelter, education and apprenticeship sponsorship. Due to his limited financial resources, in 2007 he could not carry on with his quest.
His work was being observed from afar and he was recommended to a group of people already in the charity work. They formed the Rural Evangelism Crusaders (now Operation Mobilization) whose sole purpose was to preach the Gospel and charity work. They used to travel to the northern part of Ghana were poverty is rampant. They used to go there yearly to give financial assistance and food items to the needy and the poor. During his time with Rural Evangelism Crusaders (Operation Mobilization) , they periodically met with facilitators mostly from UK who trained them on mission work and charity service. He learned a great deal from them and amass a huge amount of experience in that field.
As a member of the Church of Pentecost, he was assigned to a village near Asankrangwa as a presiding elder in 2015. During his time there he observed children of school-going age who engaged in illegal mining, prostitution with local and Chinese gold miners, drug abuse and robbery. He counselled such children and found out that they engaged in such activities because they had to survive and lack of other job opportunities. He decided to personally assist them where possible to give them a bright future. He quit Rural Evangelism Crusaders to concentrate on those around him. He quit Rural Evangelism Crusaders because their main target were those at the northern part of Ghana. With his previous experience in 2004 and that of his time with Rural Evangelism Crusaders, he decided to formalise his charity work and came up with the name 'FEED MY LAMBS FOUNDATION'. He sold his mission and vision to others and they agreed to form a board. He consulted artisans who were ready to absorb these children and train them. They are the partners. In 2019 the foundation was formally registered at Registrar General Department and license was given it to operate as a charity organization.
